The melody is very good but it's very shallow in the beginning, so shallow that I was about to back out and pick a new song to listen to before it mixed up a little and got catchy. I suggest putting in some new instruments to add a little flavor. Good song otherwise! :D

NotBobRamen responds:

Thanks, will do.

Quite interesting

I'm personally into the hard-house genre (which means that this song appeals to me :]).

That being said I already have a preset bias into giving this song a positive review; however, I'll be as constructive as possible.

The intro is good because it sets the foundation for what's coming up next, a deep rhythmic song which was made with the intent of making you feel like getting up and rocking out. The Saw sound used throughout the song definitely made this clear; however, if there's anything that I'd like to say it's that the high-pitched guitar that is used starting at 1:21 is overwhelming, i suggest lowering the volume slightly on that because it is the type of sound that is supposed to be used to compliment other sounds, not be presented up and center in the forefront.

Overall I think it's quite good though! Keep up the good work! :D

thewolfera responds:

Ah yes I've been having problem with that guitar. Thanks for making me do somethign about it haha

Yes! My dream come true!

I loved this song too! It's definitely a classic!

Ahem, ok, personal emotions aside I feel that this is a fine rendition of the original. However, I suggest lowering the volume on the Arpeggio you set up starting at around 0:30. It isn't bad, in fact, it's essential to the song's structure; however, the fact that it's so overwhelming to the listener's ear might impact the overall feel you were going for in a negative fashion.

DESPITE THIS! It is still very solid and is definitely worth listening to! :D

thewolfera responds:

Thanks for the criticism!
I'll try out what you said

It's good until the last split second

It's good, I like it, but it doesn't flow well as a loop. By that I mean that at the end there's a split second of silence which really throws the loop function off. A loop is supposed to have a smooth transition when it repeats and this doesn't have that.

But once that's fixed It sounds like it'll be a pretty nice 15 second loop :]

(If you're using FL Studio when you're converting to .mp3 format there's an option to "wrap ending" that function was specifically designed for loops) Hope I helped! :D

zRiffz responds:

Oh thanks, I'm gonna fix it right now. I was wondering why it was doing that. Thanks!

Edit: *Fixed*

Wow... I like it...

This is really well done (well, except for the volume issue, and the glitchy sound at around 0:19) other than that it seems like it could actually pass as is. It reminds me of some Megaman or Sonic oldschool 8-bit game.

Do you work with FL studio? If you do then may I ask to do a... remix..? This sounds like it would do really well in an orchestral type setting... If you'll allow me to, I'll try it out. I might not get to it until a week from now but I would definitely like to try it out. With your permission of course (and maybe the FL file?)

Japillow responds:

Thank you for the review! I made it in MilkyTracker so I'd have to remake it in FL to give the file...um, just PM me later about the details.

What're you talking about when you say not catchy?

To me this is a great song! and I haven't listened to any other songs, so i can't tell whether or not you've made progress or not; but now I definitely want to check them out :] You succeeded in your mission to create an ambient/inspirational song, nuff said

This song has a lot of elements that i really like. It used a low saw/triangle sound to create a mellow feel (please correct me if I'm wrong) which I'm particularly fond of myself. Plus it used catchy percussion, which to me is very important in a song. Also, around halfway through the song there's a high-pitched guitar which is also very strong in conveying an inspirational setting.

Overall good job, I rated it a 9/10 because, like any song, it could still be improved.

Awesome :] I'll keep up with your songs :]

dicennian responds:

Damn THANKS :) I love reviews like this, people who actually listened to the stuff. You're epic, you are!

Uhm... Wow

Yeah, I think that this is truly over the top. I'm also extremely curious as to how you made all these synths. You've GOT to tell me what you used! AND HOW!!! I'm actually a user of FL Studio 8. And I really want to improve my skills with it. I think you're the perfect teacher :]

message me if you'd want to teach me please :D

Fredgy responds:

ok, i need to take a look then at my files, but i dunno if i can open it because computer is reprogrammed, everything stays on an ouside back up harddrive, i got luck i could open the standard FL HAHA :p can't open any of my other things :(
it has 2 options, or i made it with 3 X OSC or i made it with the vsti called Massive ;)
and i think i'm able to teach you at times i'm able to ;)
add me

Well since you asked....

When I hear this I think of a car commercial, with all of these techno rhythms being used to promote cars I think this would fit the "car scene" quite well. Nice job, I like it :D

SessileNomad responds:

lol wow you caught my subliminal messages.....

Dang.. Hardcore.

Great song, in my opinion it gets much better at around 0:55, but that's just my opinion.

Ok, so I'm one of the few people on NG that actually listen to the entire song before placing my vote and review. Here's what I have to say.

The Good: The song seems to be really well thought out and sounds very interesting to listen to. The guitar has a deep resounding energy that gives the song a somewhat dark tint. (which I like)

The Bad: I think that the distortion is a little too much, maybe slightly less distortion, and to me it would sound much better if you had brought the guitar forward a little more, the Song at around 1:20 just enthralls me, and would sound much better if the guitar was slightly less distorted (slightly, very slightly). Also, at around 2:10 to the end is kinda out of sync with the voice effect, and i feel that if it was calibrated a little bit more it would give the song a much better feel

That is all :] good song too, I wasn't trying to bash it or nething, please don't take my review that way :\

Also, if you have the chance listen to my upload and review it please... I need some feedback.

death-is-forever responds:

Hardcore is where my heart is. :P

Thanks man, I really appreciate it, this was all done at 2 in the morning a few days ago just for fun, so it's not perfect yet, and I would agree with you on everything you said. So thanks for the review and the pointers. I'll be sure to check out your submission soon.

Dang... Super Chill

I really liked it because of the fact that it was so soothing

The Good: I liked the simplicity of the song, yet, through its simplicity it enduces a sort of trance that's very pleasurable. Also, the lyrics are very well placed and they give the song a depth that couldn't have been achieved without the lyrics.

The Bad: I'm not even sure if this should qualify as something bad but I would've liked to see the slightly longer song. maybe 2 minutes?

That is all :D

also,if you could check out my song i just uploaded 2 days ago that would make me happy :] remember to leave a review!

Being-Glass responds:

Hey thanx for listening!

sad thing is I had the same bad in conclusion also. But the more I worked on trying to make this track longer the less sweet it became since it started to sound to repetitious.

the other reason it is the way it was because i was dared by a friend to make this track in one night using fl studios exclusive vsts.

they include:
autogun
edison
speech synthesizer
and wasp

Ill check you out don't worry
